Creating OCX Hikari Private
This page explains how to apply for (create) OCX Hikari Private using the OCX Portal. *For special requirements, please submit your application here.
1. Before Applying

Contact Person Information
- The [Contact Information] entered in the OCX Portal must be the information of the user who is actually applying for the line contract.

Preparation of Input Data
- Subscriber Information
- Accurate address of the installation location
- If the location is in a building, please include the building name, room number, floor, etc., without omission.
- Authorization Number
- For Transfers: Transfer Authorization Number
- For Service Provider Changes: Service Provider Change Authorization Number

- Deadlines are calculated on a business-day basis; Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays are excluded.
2. Procedure for Creating OCX Hikari Private
Steps 1 through 5 below are performed on the "OCX Portal."
Step 1: Log in to the OCX Portal
- Log in to the OCX Portal with your account.
Step 2: Open Access Lines
- Click [Access Lines] from the left navigation bar.
Step 3: Select OCX Hikari Private
- When the [Access Lines] sub-menu appears, select [OCX Hikari Private].
Step 4: Application Procedure
Click the [Portal Application] button and enter the application information in each screen in the following order. (Click the [Next] button to move to the next screen.)
1. Order Options
- Name
- The name for the Hikari Private line (Required, 1–40 characters).
- Order Type (Required)
- Select from New / Transfer / Service Provider Change.
- 24-hour On-site Option (Required)
- Select from None / Apply.
- Service Item (Required; only selectable if Order Type is "New")
- 1G / 10G.
- On-site Survey Request (Required; only selectable if Order Type is "New")
- Do not request / Request.
2. Contact & Subscriber Information
Contact Person Information
- Contact Last Name (Required, full-width characters, 1–20 characters)
- Contact First Name (Required, full-width characters, 1–20 characters)
- Contact Last Name (Kana) (Required, full-width katakana, 1–20 characters)
- Contact First Name (Kana) (Required, full-width katakana, 1–20 characters)
- Contact Phone Number (Required, half-width numbers)
Subscriber Information
- Transfer/Service Provider Change Info (Displayed only when applicable)
- Transfer Authorization Number (Required if Order Type is "Transfer"; 11 digits starting with "E" or "W")
- The number issued by NTT East/West.
- Service Provider Change Authorization Number (Required if Order Type is "Service Provider Change"; 11 digits starting with "T" or "F")
- The number issued by your current provider.
- Transfer Authorization Number (Required if Order Type is "Transfer"; 11 digits starting with "E" or "W")
- Subscriber Last Name (Required, full-width characters, 1–20 characters)
- Subscriber First Name (Required, full-width characters, 1–20 characters)
- If the subscriber is a corporation, enter as "Last Name: BBIX" and "First Name: Inc."
- Subscriber Last Name (Kana) (Required, full-width katakana, 1–20 characters)
- Subscriber First Name (Kana) (Required, full-width katakana, 1–20 characters)
3. Installation Address Information
Installation Address
- Postal Code (Required, 7 digits, no hyphen)
- Address (Auto-fill) (Automatically filled by clicking "Reflect Address" after entering the postal code)
- Address (Chome) (Required, full-width characters)
- If not applicable, check "None" on the right.
- Address (Block/Number) (Required, full-width characters)
- If not applicable, check "None" on the right.
- Building/Floor/Room Name (Required, full-width characters)
- If not applicable, check "None" on the right.
Subscriber Address
- Address Category (Required)
- Same as Installation Address / Different from Installation Address
- If "Different from Installation Address" is selected:
- Enter the Postal Code and Address details following the same format as the Installation Address.
Shipping Address
- Shipping Address Category (Required)
- Same as Installation Address / Same as Subscriber Address / Other
- If "Other" is selected, detailed address entry is required.
4. Survey/Construction Schedule Adjustment
- Requested On-site Survey Date (Required only if Survey is requested)
- For New Applications: 20 calendar days or more from the application date.
- Requested Construction Date (Required)
- New (No survey): 18 calendar days or more from application.
- New (With survey): 10 calendar days or more from survey date.
- Transfer/Change: 10 calendar days or more from application.
5. Confirm Application Details
- Review the entered information. If correct, click [Apply].
6. Application Complete
- The completion screen is displayed.
- If you need to make an inquiry after applying, please include the ID displayed on the completion screen.
Step 5: Verification in the List View
- Click [Back to List] to return to the list view.
- The application will appear in the list. Note: Some items (Applicant Name, Phone Number, Installation Address) will appear as the process progresses.
3. Provisioning Procedure (Email/Construction: Steps 6–11)
Steps 6 through 11 involve email correspondence and construction arrangements.
Step 6: Contact from Provisioning Support Center
- The Support Center (Phone: 0120-954-178) may call you if there are questions regarding your survey or construction dates.
Step 7: Finalizing Dates
- Once the survey or construction dates are finalized, you will be notified via email.
Step 8: Building Entry Permit Guidance (If applicable)
- If the building requires an entry permit, the Support Center will email contact details for the construction manager/personnel.
- Customers are responsible for arranging the entry permit.
Step 9: On-site Attendance (For dispatched construction)
- The construction contractor will make a final confirmation call on the day before or the day of the work.
Step 10: Receiving Equipment (For non-dispatched construction)
- NTT East/West will send the ONU approximately 2 days before the construction date.
- Please connect the equipment in advance upon arrival.
Step 11: IPoE Provisioning
- For New Lines: IPv6 prefix issuance is requested on the day of construction.
- For Transfers/Changes: IPv6 prefix issuance is requested on the day after the line switch.
- Once issued, the IPv6 prefix can be viewed in the OCX Hikari Private list under [Access Lines].
4. Post-Provisioning Tasks (Tunnel Gateway & CPE: Steps 12–13)
Step 12: Tunnel Gateway Configuration
- Create a Tunnel Gateway via the OCX Portal and connect the Hikari line to it.

- Verify the IPv6 address issued in Step 12 via the portal and configure your CPE.
