Internet Gateway Overview
The Internet Gateway provides connectivity from the OCX closed network to the internet along with NAT (SNAT) functionality.
Internet Gateway is primarily used for the following:
- Establishing an internet connection without the need for the customer to prepare their own NAT router.
Note: Internet Gateway does not support IPv6. To use IPv6, please utilize the Internet Connection. *Additionally, each Internet Gateway resource has a speed (bandwidth) limit of 1 Gbps.
Differences Between Internet Gateway and Internet Connection
While both Internet Gateway and Internet Connection provide internet connectivity, they differ in the following ways. Please select the appropriate resource based on your intended use.
| NAT Functionality | IPv6 | |
|---|---|---|
| Internet Connection | Not Supported | Supported |
| Internet Gateway | Supported | Not Supported |
Internet Gateway Configuration Items
Internet Gateway enables internet connectivity using NAT by creating the following Internet Gateway resources and performing a VC (Virtual Circuit) attachment.
Additionally, you can add NAT IP addresses to be used for translation or create static routes.

| No | Configuration Item | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Internet Gateway (Resource) | Creates an Internet Gateway resource on the OCX network. One NAT IP address for translation is provided upon creation. |
| 2 | NAT IP Address | You can add IPv4 addresses to the created Internet Gateway resource to be used for NAT translation. |
| 3 | Static Route | Allows for the configuration of static routes for the created Internet Gateway resource. |
| 4 | BGP Parameter | Allows for the configuration of BGP connection settings for the created Internet Gateway. |
