Creating BGP Parameter
This page explains the Create BGP Parameter function on the OCX Portal. The BGP Parameter function utilizes BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) to enable dynamic routing control through eBGP connections.
- Note: Once a BGP Parameter is created, it cannot be modified. To change it, you must delete the existing one and create it again.
- Note: Currently, you can set up to 2 BGP Parameters per resource.
Preparation
Please confirm the following before creating a BGP Parameter:
- Your User Role is either
adminoruser. - The status of the target Internet Gateway resource is either
availableorattached.
Procedure for Creating a BGP Parameter
-
Log in to the OCX Portal.
-
Click [Internet Gateways] from the left navigation bar.
-
From the Internet Gateways page, click on the target Internet Gateway resource.
-
A detail screen will appear at the bottom of the page. Switch to the [BGP Parameters] tab and click the [Create BGP Parameter] button.
-
The screen will switch to the BGP Parameter creation steps. Configure the input items as follows and click [Create].
- Remote Address
- Enter an IPv4 address (e.g., 192.168.0.254).
- This must be an IP address within the same network segment as the IPv4 Gateway Address entered during the Internet Gateway resource creation.
- Refer to the [Supplement] section for restricted IP addresses.
- Remote ASN
- Enter the AS number of the customer network you wish to connect to. 4-byte AS numbers are supported.
- This must be a different value from the Local ASN entered during the Internet Gateway resource creation, as it operates as eBGP.
- Refer to the [Supplement] section for restricted AS numbers.
- Remote Address
-
A confirmation pop-up will appear. Review the settings and click [Create].
-
The BGP Parameters list will appear at the bottom of the screen, displaying your newly created BGP Parameter.
This completes the creation of the BGP Parameter.
