We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to all users due to the widespread communication instability failure that occurred on July 19, 2024. We report as follows.

Incident Due to unexpected operation of a network device bug triggered by our network construction work, an abnormality occurred in frame forwarding in part of the BBIX network, affecting the communication of some customers. Additionally, this frame forwarding abnormality caused a secondary high load on some network devices, which also affected customer communication.

Failure Cause Bug in the network OS of the target network device

Recovery Action Natural recovery

Permanent Countermeasure Upgrade the network OS of the network device that caused the issue to a version with the bug fixed (scheduled for November 2024) ※ The network device that caused the issue has already been disconnected from the BBIX network. For the secondary high load on network devices, the vendor has provided workaround settings, which will be applied to the target devices. (Scheduled for December 2024)
