Cloud Connection Pricing Structure

Fees will be incurred when you create a Cloud Connection using the OCX Portal. This page explains how Cloud Connection usage fees are incurred and how to check them.

Start of Billing for Cloud Connection

  • Billing starts from the 3rd day, counting from the day after the Cloud Connection was created (purchased), and this day is defined as the billing start date.
  • If the Cloud Connection is decommissioned (deleted) before the billing start date, no usage fees will be incurred. For decommissioning (deletion) operations, please refer to Decommissioning (Deletion) of Cloud Connection for each cloud service.
  • Resources before the billing start date will display a status of billing pending.

Cloud Connection Pricing

There are 【Initial Fees】 billed only once after applying for OCX, and 【Monthly Fees】 billed for each month of use.

Initial Fees

This is billed only once after the billing for Cloud Connection has started. You will be billed/charged in the month following the month in which the billing start date falls. In the case of redundancy, you will be billed for two resources (Primary and Secondary).

Monthly Fees

The billing amount for the current month is the sum of the daily pro-rated calculations from the billing start date to the last day of that month. The pro-rated calculation shall be performed using the number of calendar days in the month to which the billing start date belongs. In the case of redundancy, fees based on the speed (bandwidth) of both the Primary and Secondary connections will be subject to billing.

Remarks

  • All time references are based on Japan Standard Time (JST).
  • The amounts listed do not include tax.
  • The amounts listed are for customers who have entered into a contract with BBIX, Inc.
  • Data transfer fees for using this function are not incurred by OCX, but please be aware of data transfer fees charged by the connected cloud service provider.

  • This document provides information on the fees for the cloud connection function in OCX.
  • Please note that fees such as data transfer charges incurred by each connected cloud service are the responsibility of the customer.

Notes on Changing Cloud Connection Speed (Bandwidth)

Due to the specifications of the connected cloud service, it may be necessary to recreate the Cloud Connection. In such cases, please understand that initial fees will be incurred again.

Termination of Billing for Cloud Connection

The billing end date for a Cloud Connection that has started billing is the date the decommissioning of the Cloud Connection is completed (the point at which it disappears from the list on the portal). If a Cloud Connection is decommissioned in the middle of a month, the monthly fee for the month in which the billing end date falls will be pro-rated based on the number of calendar days.

Steps to Verify Cloud Connection Usage Charges

  1. Log in to the OCX Portal.
  2. For billing amounts, click [Settings] > [Billing Information] from the left navigation bar.
  3. A list of bills will be displayed; click on the billing month/year for which you want to check details.
  4. A list of utilized resources for that month will be displayed; please check the line item where the resource type is Cloud Connection.

*Note: Billing amounts listed on the OCX Portal are estimates. Please check the official invoice for the final billing amount.
