Creating Cloud Connection (Google Cloud)

This page explains how to connect to Google Cloud using the Create Cloud Connection function on the OCX Portal. OCX allows you to establish virtual connections using the Google Cloud Partner Interconnect plan.

About Partner Interconnect *External link.

Preparation

Please confirm the following before creating a Cloud Connection:

  1. Your User Role is either admin or user.
  2. Create a Google Cloud Partner Interconnect VLAN attachment in advance and have the following information ready:
    • Pairing Key

Remarks

When creating a Partner Interconnect VLAN attachment, ensure that the edge-availability-domain is specified as either availability-domain-1 or availability-domain-2. While it is possible to create a Pairing Key with the edge-availability-domain set to any using Cloud Shell or other tools, the OCX Portal cannot accept it. The format and examples of accepted Pairing Keys are as follows:

Format: <random-string>/<region-name>/<edge-availability-domain>

Example 1: abcdefgh-ijkl-mnop-qrst-uvwxyz012345/asia-northeast1/any (Not accepted)
Example 2: abcdefgh-ijkl-mnop-qrst-uvwxyz012345/asia-northeast1/1 (Accepted)
Example 3: abcdefgh-ijkl-mnop-qrst-uvwxyz012345/asia-northeast1/2 (Accepted)

If the Cloud NNI PoP name contains zone1, please specify a pairing key where <edge-availability-domain> is 1. If it contains zone2, please specify a pairing key where <edge-availability-domain> is 2.
