eSIM Settings

eSIM is a type of SIM where subscriber identification information is recorded on a storage device embedded in the communication terminal via telecommunication lines. Communication becomes possible by configuring the activation code displayed on the OCX Portal to your device.

Preparation​

Please confirm the following before configuring the eSIM on your device:

  • The device is connected to the Internet
  • The eSIM status of the target SIM is activated

Note​

An eSIM that has been configured once cannot be reused on another device.

eSIM Configuration Procedure​

  1. Sign in to the OCX Portal.
  2. Click [Access Lines] in the left navigation bar.
  3. When the [Access Lines] submenu appears, click [SIMs].
  4. Select the SIM you want to configure on your mobile device.
  5. The details screen will appear at the bottom of the page. Switch to the [Basic Settings] tab.
  6. Configure the eSIM activation code located at the bottom of the [Basic Settings] tab on your device.
    • QR Code: Click to enlarge and download.
    • Activation Code: Click to copy. *Please contact the device manufacturer for instructions on how to configure the device.
  7. Confirm that the eSIM status of the configured SIM changes to available. *Click [Refresh] in the upper right to update the status.

This completes the eSIM configuration.

Notes​

  • When an eSIM is deleted from a device, the SIM resource is not automatically deleted. For information on deleting SIMs, please refer to Decommissioning SIM.
