Virtual Circuit Interface (VCI) Pricing Structure

You incur usage fees when you create a Virtual Circuit Interface (VCI) in the OCX Portal.
In this document, “VCI” is used as an abbreviation.

This page explains when VCI charges start and end, as well as how to check usage fees.

Start of Billing for Virtual Circuit Interface (VCI)​

  • Billing starts on the third day counted from the day after the VCI is created (purchased). This day is defined as the billing start date.
  • If the VCI is deleted before the billing start date, no usage fees will be charged.
    For details on deletion, refer to Deleting a VCI.
  • Resources before the billing start date will display the status billing pending.

Virtual Circuit Interface (VCI) Pricing​

After applying for OCX, there are two types of charges:

  • A one-time Initial Fee
  • A recurring Monthly Fee

Initial Fee​

The initial fee is charged once after VCI billing starts.
You will be billed and required to make payment in the month following the month that includes the billing start date.

Monthly Fee​

The monthly fee is calculated by prorating the period from the VCI billing start date to the end of that month on a daily basis, and summing the amounts.
Daily proration is calculated based on the number of calendar days in the month that includes the billing start date.

Remarks​

  • All times are based on Japan Standard Time (JST).
  • All listed prices are exclusive of tax.
  • The listed prices apply to customers contracted with BBIX Inc.

Termination of Billing for Virtual Circuit Interface (VCI)​

For a VCI for which billing has started, the billing end date is the date on which deletion of the VCI is completed (the point at which it disappears from the portal list).
If a VCI is deleted during the middle of a month, the monthly fee for that month will be prorated on a daily basis using the calendar days of that month.

Steps to Verify Virtual Circuit Interface (VCI) Usage Charges​

  1. Log in to the OCX Portal.
  2. From the left navigation bar, click [Settings] > [Billing Information].
  3. The billing list will be displayed. Click the billing month you want to review.
  4. A list of resources used in that month will be shown. Check the details where the resource type is VCI.

Note: The billing amounts shown in the OCX Portal are estimates. Please refer to the invoice for the official billed amount.
