Updating a SmartVPN Connection

Once a SmartVPN Connection is created, the region settings cannot be changed; however, the speed and name can be modified.
This page explains the procedure for updating a SmartVPN Connection using the OCX Management Portal.

Notes on Speed (Bandwidth) Changes

Please note that the behavior for changing the speed (bandwidth) of a SmartVPN Connection varies depending on the current speed:

  • If the current bandwidth is 1 Gbps or less, you can only change it to another speed of 1 Gbps or less.
  • If the current bandwidth is 2 Gbps or more, you can only change it to another speed of 2 Gbps or more.

Preparation

Please confirm the following before changing the SmartVPN Connection settings:

  1. Your User Role is either admin or user.
  2. (If changing speed) You have submitted the Hearing Sheet, and the details have been verified.

Procedure for Updating a SmartVPN Connection

  1. Log in to the OCX Management Portal.

  2. Click [SmartVPN Connections] from the left navigation bar.

  3. Click the Edit icon in the Actions column on the right side of the target SmartVPN Connection.

  4. The information entry screen will appear. Fill in the following items and click [Update]. Items marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

    • Name
      • Set an arbitrary name.
      • The maximum length is 40 characters.
      • Leading and trailing whitespaces are automatically removed.
    • Speed (Bandwidth)
      • Select a speed between 50 Mbps and 10 Gbps.
  5. A [Confirm Settings Update] pop-up will appear. If there are no issues, click [Update].

  6. The SmartVPN Connection list page will be displayed. Confirm that the status of the updated SmartVPN Connection is available.

    • If only the name was changed, the update is completed immediately.
    • If the speed was changed, it may take some time as manual work is required.

Notes

When changing the speed (bandwidth), please proceed to Step 5 only after the verification of the Hearing Sheet is complete.
