Updating a Virtual Circuit (VC)

After a Virtual Circuit (VC) has been created, its name can be changed.

This page explains the procedure for updating a VC using the OCX Portal.
For instructions on changing the attachment of a VC that is already connected to a VCI, Cloud Connection, Router Connection, Internet Connection, Internet Gateway, Tunnel Gateway, XaaS Connection, VMG Instance, or SmartVPN Interface, please refer to Configuring Virtual Circuit (VC) Detachments.
Please note that the combination of selected Areas cannot be changed after creation.

Preparation

Please confirm the following before changing the VC settings:

  1. Your User Role is either admin or user.

Procedure for Updating a Virtual Circuit (VC)

  1. Log in to the OCX Portal.

  2. Click [Virtual Circuits (VCs)] from the left navigation bar.

  3. Once the Virtual Circuits (VCs) page appears, click the Edit icon in the Actions column on the right side of the item you wish to modify.

  4. The information entry screen will appear. Update the following item and click [Update]. Items marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

    • Name
      • Enter an arbitrary name. If you are managing multiple VCs, using names that are easy to identify will simplify management.
      • Maximum length: 40 characters.
      • Leading and trailing whitespaces are automatically removed.
  5. A [Confirm Settings Update] pop-up will appear. Review the details and click [Update].

  6. Confirm that the status next to the resource at the top of the screen is available and that the changes have been reflected.
